And If Not Now is art collective Philip Pinsky and Karen Lamond. We are driven by a desire for social change.
Philip Pinsky is a composer and sound designer working extensively in theatre and other media in the UK and overseas. For five years he was Associate Artist at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh providing scores for more than half of their output during that period. He was winner of the Critics Award for Theatre in Scotland 2005 for best use of music in theatre and of a Sony Music Award for Extraneous Noises Off (BBC Radio 3). Previously Philip was a founder member of electro-acoustic group Finitribe, releasing five albums and performing over a period of fifteen years.
Karen Lamond began her career in the music industry, first as a photographer (for The Glasgow Herald) and then as a music video director working with high-profile artists like Texas, Lamb, Seal and Garbage. Her feel for filming people in beautiful and natural ways then took her into fashion and commercials, where, in recent years she has been working on campaigns for Avon, Ecover and Vera Wang. While directing these projects, Karen continued developing her fine art photography, completing a postgraduate course at Central St Martins (University of the Arts London), and extending her skills into drama and documentary film-making. In 2019, she was commissioned to direct Consumed as part of the Scottish Film Talent Network’s Scottish Shorts Scheme, funded by Creative Scotland.
